The Organization

Decker Corporation is a group of companies that has operated in a number of areas including health care, business management, land development, and residential/commercial construction.

Decker provided health care management in British Columbia between1979 and 2016. The primary focus of this service had been the exclusive operations and development of Long Term Care Nursing Homes including Normandy Hospital in Vancouver, Parkridge Private Hospital and Holyrood Manor in Maple Ridge, Sandringham Hospital in Victoria and Simpson Manor in Fort Langley, British Columbia. In 2016, the company exited health care services.

Land development, including single and multi-family home construction has been a focus of Decker for over 25 years, and from 2016 has become the primary focus of the organization. Currently operating in Calgary Alberta, our dedication to quality homes which match the characteristics of their communities has secured us an excellent reputation with home buyers and the communities in which we develop.

The People

E. C. Beaudin
President and CEO

Mr. Beaudin is a retired lawyer and one of the founding partners of Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang, established in 1973. Mr. Beaudin departed the law firm in 1986 but keeps on contact with his namesake law firm. He remains a member of The Law Society of British Columbia. Since 1986, Mr. Beaudin has been extensively involved in land development and in the residential and commercial construction industry in both British Columbia and Alberta.

Ingo V. Riesen
Chief Financial and Operations Officer

Mr. Riesen has been Decker's Chief Financial Officer since 1987. In 1999 expanded his role as Decker's Chief Operating Officer. He holds an MBA along with a Health Care Administration Diploma and other accounting certificates.

Catherine Beaudin
Director of Operations

Cathie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia and an Honour's Diploma in Building Technology (Economics) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. She has worked in residential construction since 1993 and is currently responsible for all of Decker's operations in Alberta. Decker is currently and actively developing a residential subdivision, Rock Lake Estates in northwest Calgary, Alberta.

Ernie S. Beaudin
Director of Technology

Ernie holds both Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (UBC), and Bachelor of Business (OLU) degrees. He specializes in the interaction of modern technology, society and business; human resources, operations management and physical design. He has been the IT Director since 1989.

Hunter Katterhagen
Junior Site Manager

Hunter has a Bachelor of Business Management (Finance) from the University of Lethbridge. Hunter has previously worked in construction and is seeking industry experience in the land development, management and acquisition sector. He has been working with Decker since 2023.
